The Factory - Education
The Factory is home to the Foundation Degree in Music Technology & Production course which is validated by Plymouth University. This is a 2 year three day a week course which can lead to progression into a 3rd year at Plymouth and a full BA Hons degree. The facility also houses rehearsal facilities for a Music Performance Foundation Degree and level 2 & 3 Music/Music Technology courses. The venue is superbly equipped with a Nexo PA system, front of house mixing, separate monitor mixer, full lighting rig and projection screens. The Music Technology suite is equipped with IMacs, Logic, Pro Tools and is housed in the Factory office. This facility provides students with real work experience in a performance venue providing technical support and staffing events. It also provides students with a unique insight into event management.
